FutureLink gUG is a social non-for-profit organization founded by Ukrainian founders in Leipzig, Germany in 2024. The Articles of Association of FutureLink gUG contain a Preamble that explains ideas and intentions behind it:
FutureLink gUG is an organization focused on promoting German-Ukrainian cooperation. Our primary focus is on supporting Ukrainian refugees in Germany and internally displaced persons in Ukraine, as well as supporting Ukraine during the war and in the post-war period. We are committed to a more resilient and sustainable shared future, particularly in the areas of social integration, circular economy, mobility, infrastructure, climate adaptation, housing, and urban development. To achieve our non-profit goals, we implement projects and initiatives with Ukrainian NGOs and municipalities, as well as in cooperation with interested stakeholders in Germany and around the world who share our goals and want to exert a positive impact together. Examples of projects include integration and reintegration initiatives, informal education, research and planning projects, professional exchanges, awareness-raising, and other measures that clearly and unambiguously create a social benefit within the meaning of the statute.
FutureLink gUG is recognized as a non-for-profit organization according to ยงยง 51, 59, 60, 60a(1), and 61 of the German Fiscal Code (AO), with the following statutory goals:
- Promoting assistance for refugees, war victims, war survivors, war-disabled persons and prisoners of war, civilian casualties, and the disabled; promoting the memory of persecuted persons, victims of war, and victims of disasters;
- Promotion of development cooperation in the areas of refugees, integration, sustainability, mobility, climate protection and other relevant areas between Germany and Ukraine;
- Promotion of fire, occupational safety, disaster and civil protection as well as accident prevention, in particular traffic accident prevention and the protection of the most vulnerable road users such as children, the elderly, pedestrians and cyclists.
